Today, I had several people say that the sock monkeys I make are way better than others that they've seen in shops and stores. And that I should make them and sell them, like now, please, for holiday shopping! Another friend asked me to make one for her take back east for a young relative's first birthday. Lots of gifts were opened from pricey shops and catalogs while my friend thought, "Ok - I put it in a box. It's wrapped nicely..." and waited for the reaction when it was finally opened. Apparently, it was the hit gift of the party and she has people lined up to buy my monkeys.
Is this a sign from heaven to make sock monkeys as a business? My husband says, "Don't quit your day job!" ;-P
